Istanbul Cerrahi Hospital Visitor Policy
-
The foundation of our visitor policy is the health and safety of our patients and visitors.
-
Visitor hours are every day from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
-
In cases where visiting may be harmful to the patient, the ability to visit is subject to the physician’s approval.
-
To prevent infection risks and the potential psychological impact on children, it is important that guests under the age of 12 do not visit patients.
-
To ensure the health and treatment of our patients, food and beverages brought from outside by visitors are not accepted according to the patient’s or their own request. Additionally, fragrant foods should not be brought for the companion for the patient’s health. To prevent infection, visitors should not use items belonging to the patient and should not sit on the patient’s bed.
-
A maximum of 2 visitors can be present at the same time with the patient. To avoid disturbing other patients receiving treatment (due to the possibility of creating a noisy environment), it is important to keep visit durations short.
-
Visitors must wash their hands before and after the visit.
-
During the treatment and examination processes of our patients, visitors are expected to leave the room to respect patient privacy.
-
If a patient’s visit is prohibited by their physician for medical reasons, it is requested that visitors do not insist on visiting. When you see a “Visitation Prohibited” warning at the patient’s room door, you should not enter the room without consulting the nurse.
-
Smoking is strictly prohibited for our visitors outside the areas designated by the hospital management.
-
Flowers are not accepted in patient rooms; flowers sent to patients are accepted by the Reception Unit in the lobby and a ‘flower card’ is prepared. Flower cards with the sender’s name and surname are sent to the patient’s room to inform them. The patient and their relatives can collect their flowers from the Reception Unit by showing the flower card.
-
The relevant unit, clinic, and department may have their own unique visiting rules; it should be remembered that these rules may differ within our general visitor policy.
