Neurospinal Cord and Nerve Surgery
Neurosurgery (Neurospinal Cord and Nerve Surgery)
Our neurosurgery department; It has an experienced staff and modern infrastructure that allows surgical treatment of neonatal, childhood and adult cerebrospinal diseases.
Our primary principle in our approach to brain, spinal cord and spine diseases is to reach a definitive diagnosis. We act in cooperation with our “patient evaluation council” in coordination with the Orthopedics, Neuroradiology, Neurology and Physiotherapy departments experienced in this regard.
Our Operation Rooms: For successful completion of the surgery in brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerve and spine surgery; during the intervention (intraoperative):
Neuronavigation (the mapper that determines the target tissue coordinates in three dimensions) Neuromonitorization (aims to minimize the damage to the healthy tissue by allowing the monitoring of the functions of the brain and nerve tissue during surgery.)
Neurostimulation (it is a device aimed at distinguishing tissues with a similar appearance to the nerve.)
It has auxiliary equipment such as Fleroscopi (it gives detailed information about the bone tissue during the surgery and confirms that the surgical team is at the right level and place).
Accompanied by the advanced operating microscope:
With the Fleurosan Tumor Staining Technique, we have the comfort of distinguishing between intact brain tissue and tumor tissue by coloring. In addition, high-tech surgical support such as Ultrasonic tumor aspirator (CUSA) in cleaning the tumors from the brain and spinal cord tissue by minimizing the risk of vascular injury, High Speed Drill, which provides the opportunity to progress by protecting the soft tissue in spine surgery and skull surgery, Radiofrequency Ablation, the technology to destroy the target tissue at the molecular level. We have the equipment.
The main operations performed in our Neurosurgery Department are:
